Slight update for you this morning: Ariana Grande is reportedly dating her Wicked costar Ethan Slater amid her split from Dalton Gomez. TMZ was the first to report the news, while a People source confirmed, “Ariana and Dalton separated in January. She and Ethan recently began dating, and he is separated from his wife.”
Per TMZ, Ethan had been married to singer Lilly Jay since 2018, and they have a son together. He and Ariana didn’t start dating until after his separation from Lilly.
This update comes amid a source telling Us Weekly that “Dalton has been devastated” by his breakup with Ariana, and “a separation is not what he’s wanted. He wanted the fairy tale, happy ending, and it’s not looking that way.”
Another Us Weekly’s insider added, “Dalton is really hoping to make things work with Ariana,” and “despite the rocky patches they’ve been through, he isn’t ready to give up on their marriage. He saw himself spending the rest of his life with Ariana and will do anything to get past this.”
FYI, Dalton is also dating. Us Weekly‘s source noted he’s “been dating casually as an attempt to distract himself from the split,” but “truth be told, he’s not over Ariana and would still love to win her back.”
