Zach Bryan pauses concert, calls out fan for throwing object on stage

(WJW) – Country music star Zach Bryan paused a recent concert after a fan appeared to have thrown something on the stage.

Bryan, 28, was performing during his show at the Tacoma Dome in Washington over the weekend when the object flew onto the stage and hit another performer in the leg, as seen in video shared online. Bryan then stopped playing mid-song to approach a microphone.

“Who threw this? Who was it?” he asked the crowd, pointing in the general direction of where the object came from.

Bryan repeatedly requested that the person identify themselves, or for other concert-goers to point out the person responsible, but no one came forward. He then made a simple request.

“Don’t throw s— at concerts, huh?” he said.

Before resuming the show, he also stepped back to the mic and said, “And if you guys do know who threw it, we can get ‘em outta here. If we ever find out who did it.”

Video of the incident has been viewed nearly 3 million times since it was shared to a country music Instagram account on Monday. Some viewers appeared to think Bryan overreacted, though others defended his actions, calling whomever threw the item “childish” and disrespectful.

“Idc if you like the guy or not. No one deserves to have s— thrown at them,” one commenter said.

People.com also noted that the incident comes amid backlash toward Bryan over his ex-girlfriend claiming that he emotionally abused her during their relationship.

Last year, Bryan also ran into problems with Oklahoma law enforcement when he was placed in handcuffs after a member of his security team was detained during a traffic stop. Bryan allegedly told a highway trooper to let him out the handcuffs, saying, “If you don’t, it is going to be a mistake sir. I promise.” He was arrested, and later apologized for his actions.
